When was the last time you exercised ‘down there’? Many women know the benefits of exercising their body as part of a healthy lifestyle but how many of us know the importance of a well exercised pelvic floor? New research1 by CoreWellness, the Europe-wide project to help women get back in control of their bodies, highlights that 1 in 5 women don’t know what their pelvic floor muscles are for!
Believe it or not, exercising the pelvic floor (PC) muscles can not only improve the tone and strength of the vagina, but it can also lead to more intense and pleasurable orgasms.
Professor Kari Bø of Oslo University, world expert in physiotherapy and pelvic floor health, has spent several years researching and developing a unique exercise programme called the Pelvicore Technique. This specific exercise programme is now available to all women on a free CoreWellness DVD, supported by feminine hygiene brand TENA. The simple work out combines yoga and Pilate’s-style stretches that work to exercise the core muscle group, improve tummy tone and even improve your sex life.
Games, gadgets and his favourite after shave are usually top of our lists for gifts around Valentines Day but there are some things that money can’t buy and a tight core muscle group is one of them.
Squeeze!
The PC muscle is just like any other muscle in the body - squeezing and contracting encourages the body to send more blood and oxygen to fuel the activity. The rush of blood to the area around the vagina increases the pressure on the super sensitive nerve endings, which then begin to fire off excited signals to the brain.
A tighter vagina can also mean more friction during sex, which can be pleasurable for both partners. It can also improve bladder control, make having orgasms easier, help you to control the timing of your orgasm, and make having multiple orgasms easier. All it takes is a little squeeze to feel the difference!
Kari’s Pelvicore Technique is available exclusively and for FREE by joining CoreWellness at www.corewellness.co.uk or calling 0845 300 6466.
BACKGROUND
The pelvic floor is the hammock-like base of the core muscles grouped around the body’s trunk. It specifically helps control posture and tummy tone, and supports the internal organs. A healthy pelvic floor is essential in maintaining healthy posture, healthy bladder, and sexual comfort and pleasure. The Core Wellness Programme is supported by leading feminine hygiene brand, TENA.
